Resorts In Puerto Rico Homepage
Reliable resorts in puerto rico information resources and videos
Looking for resorts in Puerto Rico? This is the most accessible island in the Caribbean and is also a major airline hub. Tourists flock to the island from mid-December right through to mid-April. The island's off-season runs from late spring in to late fall in when temperatures of about 90 degrees prevail in most parts of the region.
The most popular events are held during the Patron Saint Festivals or Fiestas Patronales, in honor of the patron saint of each municipality. They include religious processions that originated as a Catholic tradition. Usually held in the town square, these festivals are colorful displays of pride and joy, featuring parades, games, rides, regional food and live entertainment.
The island offers a wide variety of sports including golf, tennis and hiking. Dorado Beach, Cerromar Beach, and Palmas del Mar are the chief centers for golf, tennis and beach life. For the water sports lover, scuba diving, snorkeling and deep-sea fishing off San Juan’s coast could prove to be an experience of a lifetime.
The island has over 300 miles of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, a large Tropical Rain forest, a Cave System millions of years old, and a Dry Forest filled with Cactus. As one of the oldest and most diversified cultures in the world, Puerto Rico is a vibrant, modern, bilingual, multicultural society, one that has been molded by Spanish, African, Indian and U.S. influences.
The Caribbean has a well-deserved reputation as a quiet, laid-back place, where hammocks are more common than discos. But the natives however, truly know how to party, and the nightlife in the island's bigger cities and resort hotels rivals that of the most cosmopolitan cities. Restaurants of all tastes, a great variety of stores, casinos, golf courses and plenty of nightclubs make this a perfect destination.
It is a beautiful island in the caribbean. Almost every major U.S. airline has nonstop flights to San Juan. There's no currency conversion to worry about, since the dollar is the currency here. This American territory is known as the fifty-first state. But a world of diversity and a very distinct culture are packed into this countries compact 4,400 square miles.
Old San Juan has centuries-old colonial history, the coasts are lined with plush beaches and sheer cliffs, and inland, the rugged terrain includes hills covered in dense rain forest.
An exciting nightlife awakens when the shops close, the Puertoricans disappear to have their evening meal and when the sun sets San Juan re-awakens with a whole new energy. The casinos and bars are all waiting for you to come and have a drink. But you can also choose to take it easy and find a great restaurant on the beach. Surrounded by the rain forest on one side and the beach on the other, you will truly feel as if you ended up in paradise.

A TEEN-FRIENDLY resort in Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands?
I'm traveling with my family which includes two 50 year old parents, and two daughters, ages 16 and 13. Most of the resorts I've found in either Puerto Rico or The US Virgin Islands seem to cater more to adults only or families with young children. Can someone please give me a suggestion?Or even the name of a travel site where i can put in my specific needs?
